The process of taking blood into the hemodialysis machine and returning it after being cleaned is completely painless and does not contain any hurting elements. Only at the start of the treatment, during the 'needle insertion into the fistula (vascular access)' procedure applied to every patient, a slight needle pain akin to a mosquito bite may be felt. At Bali Dialysis Center, our dialysis nurses with many years of experience in the field apply a very delicate needle insertion technique, which allows the procedure to be completed in seconds with almost no sensation. Our patients spend their 4-hour treatment painlessly by sleeping, reading a book, or watching TV.
